On the dog beach - completely OVERWHELMED - It was FANTASTIC !! 20-30 dogs off leash, friendly, frolicking in the sand and water - the girls made soo many friends. Lilly drank alot of salt water, threw up a little - Lulu met a shaggy boyfriend - it was a great day

Slacker Pants.

I know - I know - I've totally slacked off in the blogging department - and I am SORRY !! The blog has taken a back seat to the trials and tribulations of life lately - I hate that its happened, but it has. Here is a recap of what you've missed with us and what's in store :

~ Lilly and Lulu almost got another sister.....you all know how nutz I am, esp. when it comes to the Puggers in my life - Well - Susan (our pug breeder) had one of the sisters returned back to her due to the previous owners allergies and shedding issues - PUGS SHED BAD (if u didn't know that) probably the one and only down fall HA ! Anyway - little Matilda aka "Tilly" came back to Susan and Susan needed to find her a home - Jeff and I along with the girls went to visit Tilly - and she was a lover - such a darling - but the three of them together TROUBLE !!! it was a chaotic mess for the hour long visit - I'm sure it would get better in time - but do I really need a third dog ? REALLY ?? I am happy to report that Tilly did end up finding a home - with another crazy Pug lady.

~ The addition to our home project has begun - and OMG !! I am soo very excited and nervous about it - We have been talking about this project for over a year and now its finally happening - Jeff tore out the spare bedroom and laundry room upstairs, we are putting on a dormer off the back part of the house - opening up the ceilings - giving the spare bedroom more room and making a large bathroom and laundry room upstairs. WHOA ! The builder came and within three days the roof was off - windows are in - it's REAL now - Still a work in progress as Jeff and I, on a daily basis stare at the open room thinking how much work we really got ourselves into - laying out this that and the other - it is exciting - and I can't wait to see the finished product - Bets are on for when completion will happen - I say next year !! :)

~ JOBS - both of our work schedules have been crazy as of late - I have lots of changes going on at my job - and Jeff has been a pastry chef at his friends gourmet food store for the past couple of weeks - both of us are catering alot too - what else is new, huh ?

~ Lastly - we are leaving for a weekend getaway at the shore with our fur babies !! YAY ! The girls are taking their very first vacation - I researched and found this cute B&B in Ocean City, NJ (pet friendly) of course - and a couple miles away is a dog beach - We can't wait ! Leaving on Friday and home on Sunday. It's an early b-day present for the girls who will turn one on August 28th - HOLY CRAP - time flies!

So - I promise you all pictures when we get back from our little beach weekend - on everything you've been missing above - vacations, renovations, etc.

Awesome weather this weekend - the girls enjoyed their playdate Friday - got to go to the farm on Saturday - and now lounging out in the sun at home with us on Sunday - great wkend.

Lulu and Charles were the soul survivors of the 40min. play date.... Lilly went into hiding upstairs under our bed - and if there tongues could have gotten any bigger we might have had to perform CPR .... It was an event in the least....and tired the girls out till lunch -

So yesterday was my husband's 37th Birthday !! woo hoo !

Can I just tell you what a great guy he is ..... rarely do I admit that - but he truely is one of a kind......Happy Birthday Hon !

Wonder how you can tell that we just had dinner ????

really we didn't eat anything ....

........no evidence of dinner at all on those faces, huh ????

Lulu wants you all to know that she is still hungry - and will stare at you just like this if you don't believe her....(because there is no way she just had dinner) ya right !?!?

Meanwhile ...... Lilly is very unhappy; first her hunger has subsided (wonder why?) BUT Mr. Snowman lost an eye today .....what will we do ??

Oh...the trials and tribulations of a Thursday evening at the Lauble household....

Wkend Getaway...

This weekend we did something out of the ordinary. It was very planned out and also very much a surprise !! (i love surprises) Our dear friend Ron -whom works with me now - planned a very special birthday surprise for his girlfriend Madison. I was hired as Ron's event coordinator - and this was the plan - an overnight trip to Atlantic City - dinner and whatever !!

I booked rooms at the Trump Marina for the night (great price $49 Sun. to Mon.) Ron had to pick a place to eat - Bobby Flay's Steakhouse in the Borgata (top notch) and then Jeff and I bought them both tickets to a comedy show at the Borgata after dinner !! All was planned - and set in stone (a month ago) !! Madison thought that we were going to a "work picnic" in West Chester - Ron had come up with a really awesome STORY - behind the picnic - complete with why she needed a change of clothes, etc. I did however sneak over to her house and pulled her some PJ's and an extra shirt and jeans.....

AND so Sunday came - (girls got dropped off at grandmom's in the early am) we left for "West Chester" around 11am - WE literally got ALL the way to Atlantic City - without her thinking anything suspicious - Ron had to tell her - "happy birthday Maddie - we are in A/C" !!!! Tears were had - and she was over-joyed at the surprise !! He did good !! Great choice for dinner - was excellent - comedy show was great ! Nice time had by all !! Monday came all to quick - headed home in the afternoon - and now back to reality - work grind !!

Rainy Dayz...

The rain is back - the girls are not happy about it !

We had an awesome weekend, great weather, good friends....and oh my god the FOOD - we ate our faces off - and the babies had a great time at Grandmom's and of course lots of fun w/cousin Dig..... but now we are back home - Jeff is working all week - so that means I have to get home to the munchkins and entertain - and with this weather....not soo fun - tonite we attempted to watch some TV ....

this is how it started...

Pwweeasse mom, come sit with us on the sofa, says Lulu - (who can say no to that face??)

Lilly says..."Come on mommy - I'll make room right here - its just me and my red cow toy - he'll move over....sit down"

And so Mommy sits down and is all ready to cozy in w/the chickies....

Happy Hump Day !

So tomorrow is Wednesday - probably the LONGEST day of the week always !! This week is very busy for me - all the way around - almost every night this week we have stuff going on and work is again CRAZY busy - never stops.

Lilly has her 2 month check up tomorrow at 3:30pm at the ortho surgeon - she is doing so great and I can't wait to get the report and update on recovery. Time Flies - feels like just yesterday I was picking her up from having this surgery - I'm soo happy she is back to normal....

as if nothing happened.....

But now we are back - sorry...but things got hectic...! I was without a computer during the evenings for the past week because my parents are in Aruba so I am house and Diggy sitting at there place - now back home....picking them up at the airport tonite...looking forward to a good nights sleep in my own bed with my own dogs !! :)

The girls have been visiting and spent one or two nights with me....but with all the rain its been hard to get them outside to play - although on Thurs. night we let them have at it :

Today we are cleaning the house - doing the laundry and then doing the same thing at my mom's house - before I head to the airport and pick em up - tomorrow is Mother's Day - and we are HOME !! hangin in all day !
