Bizzy B

This weekend was craziness from the get go !! Work for me last week was chaotic as I tried to prepare for a delayed holiday party; which took place in the city (philly) on Saturday evening. 100 guests at the Moshulu - I planned everything - from coordinating the hotel rooms to the DJ, seating assignments, even down to the desserts - Kinda felt like I was planning my second wedding w/out having to foot the bill (HA!) - although getting down to the wire; I was STRESSED - worrying about all the what ifs, did I do this....blah blah - All in all it turned out WONDERFULLY !!
I have to say, if you ever get the chance to venture downtown, I would Highly recommend dinner at the Moshulu (www.moshulu.com ) one of the top rated restuarants in the city - and it held up to its ratings....food and service were exceptional, which in turn made my life easy for Saturday. A good time was had by all.
Let's just say yesterday was a very lazy day - between the weather and the headache, lots of sleeping and eating was all we did - This week is starting out on a slow foot for me.....can't get into gear just yet.
The girls had a sleepover at grandmom's and were NOT happy to be picked up yesterday - Lulu literally jumped up on grandmom's lap and gave me sad face when I told her we had to go home....they LOVE their grandmom - SPOILED ROTTEN !!

Feelin it !

Day three of workin out and boy o boy - I am def. feelin it ! My legs feel like I rode a horse to and from work each day - my waist feels like I've been doin crunches 24/7 - SORE DAY !! guess thats a good thing though, huh ! Week started out slow; only walked one mile on Monday - outside w/my uncle's dog - then Tues. hit the gym; 2.5 miles and some elipitcal - Wed. gym again for 2 miles and then the bike for 2 - I wanna go today - BUT my legs hurt to shift the gears in my car - OMG - how sad is that !!

I wish the girls could go to the gym with me - startin to notice the chunk of the winter creepin up on them - esp. Lu - she isn't running like she used too....I know she misses it more then I missed the gym though - poor girl - we try to get in about 15min. twice a day but then the lil' footsies are frozen ... Spring will be back soon sweetie, I promise!
I can't wait !

Still CUTE THOUGH even with a couple extra inches.....

Ants in my PANTS ......

I seriously am so fidgity today - I want it to: ONE - stop friggin SNOWING - and TWO be on the road to our wkend destination already !!! OMG !

We are leaving this afternoon and heading up to Woodstock, New York for a weekend getaway with our bestest friends - and I cannot wait to get there.

This has been planned for a while now - so hence the reason I'm anxious - we rent this super cute cabin in the woods up there in Bearsville, NY - about 10min. from the lil town of Woodstock, last time Jeff and I went was about 2 or 3 years ago for my dear friend, Nicole's birthday - we were her surprise - it was fabulous -

Basically the plan is to hang out in the cabin - with a warm fire roaring - some great food; yummie drinks, and the best company ever !! Games, Laughs and maybe a lil dancing feet will be had. SOOOO - I cannot wait to leave work at 11 today - to head home, pack up and hit the trails -

The girls are having an EXTRA special wkend of there own ... Grandmom is sleeping over tonite at our house w/out Mr. Digs - so can u just imagine the happy faces to know the spoilin time and to have grandmom all to themselves all nite....... and then Emma (friend of ours) is coming to stay on Sat. nite - this should be interesting.

Happy Friday Everyone....here's to a GREAT wkend !!

SEE U LADIES SOON !

this is how it started...

Pwweeasse mom, come sit with us on the sofa, says Lulu - (who can say no to that face??)

Lilly says..."Come on mommy - I'll make room right here - its just me and my red cow toy - he'll move over....sit down"

And so Mommy sits down and is all ready to cozy in w/the chickies....

Working SUNDAY .... !?!?

Doing what my husband does best :
Digging in the dirt....his favorite job - and he was a slave driver on Sunday - we had 10 shrubs to plant in our front yard, and he dug his butt off - I helped - and we had an audience as well:
Our audience provided moral support along with some yipping/barking and whining.... it was quite the event on Sunday .....
But after a long hard day of planting, digging and supervising......we got a nice ball game going on...needless to say we were all whooped on Sunday night.. GGGRRREEEAAATTT !

A new week...

Happy Monday to all - I'm starting my morning with a positive outlook on my week at work...we'll see what time this happy face gets turned upside down, but for now, I'm in a good mood, I had a great weekend....already looking forward to another one. I have to say I have some totally awesome girlfriends - my girls night out was fabulous. We started out at Nicole's house with some wine and appetizers, everyone looked great, we had lots of great conversation, tons of food, fun night. We did venture out into Doylestown, and then wished we would have just stayed at Nicole's, once we got out, it was hard to keep tabs on everyone, and town was swarmed with youngin's....made us all feel old ! :) (i have pics, but left my camera at Nicole's so they'll be posted at another time)

Saturday I had a great day with my BFF Andi....we enjoyed salad and breadstix at Olive Garden ... a favorite of ours...and then did some shopping...another favorite, was great to see her and hear about the little man. Saturday night Jeff and I grabbed a bite at Reigelsville Inn - just some bar food, and we hit the hay early - 10:30pm in bed on a Saturday night....LOVE IT !

AND - our working Sunday turned into Lazy Sunday - we hit up Q-mart with some friends to get some veggies and lunch....and then relaxed on our sofa for most of the afternoon...napping here and there, had a nice little visit from Ms. Martha (my aunt-in-law) was great to see her and chit chat for a bit.....we went to my mom's for dinner - and a visit - She had all her grandchildren over, Megan was there with my nephew Baxter (9 month old jack russell pug mix) He is a cutie...and getting to be such a good boy - he used to be pretty high strung, but he is mellowing out and the girls just totally adore him, Especially Lilly....you can't pick Baxter up w/out her freaking out...she loves her Baxi....he deals with them, but I think the girls are a little overwhelming sometimes, but he tolorates them - and is just the handsomest little man.

This week is a little busy - tonite we are having dinner at Ronnie and Madison's house - the girls are joining us and tomorrow they go to the vet to get there stitches out (healing VERY nicely) Lilly is getting another check up on the hip situation (kinda had a tumble this weekend, on her own accord...outside with a stick, so still not good w/the leg) Lilly keeps me on my toes....always worrying about her....hopefully I'll have better news to report after Tuesday!
Happy Monday

No stopping

Lulabelle - Full Speed

These rugrats even the one with a bum leg....they finally got a chance to enjoy the snow....and this bitter cold weather. I pray that it's the last blast of winter !!!!

Lilly - licking her chops

Lilly is recovering well, starting to put more weight on her leg, and is almost back to her regular Lilly-self. She trys to keep up with Lulu outside, but gives up quick and reverts to eating snow instead of playing in it...

ENJOY the outside girly's - tomorrow you will be extra spoiled...cuz Friday we are packing up and off the the vet at 8am - no breakfast either (prob. the worst part about it for these piglets) I'll be picking them up at 3:30pm and enjoying a calm, relaxing, movie filled Friday night with my babies and my babies daddy !! :) till then !!

Never a dull moment...

Within the Lauble household....Our weekend was nice, I did however paint ALL weekend long, but I got it done, the entire apartment is ready to be rented, my work is done there !! Jeff layed new flooring in the kitchen area, looks awesome, he did however manage to break the stove (sore subject right now, we won't talk abou it). We also managed to enjoy some friends this weekend too, on Fri. night we had dinner with an old friend of Jeff's and his new fiance.....was nice to catch up with them. And then after a full work day on Sat. we grabbed showers and met up with our close friends; Jamie and Nicole at the Waterwheel for a bite to eat at the new bar area....which I have to say is fabulous ! The food was great, atmosphere awesome, wine was super yummy and company terrific ! Def. what we needed after putting in a full day with rollers and brushes.

On Sunday we ended up going back to the apt. to finish up trim and the floor.....FINEAT-O! (thank god) When we got home we headed off to grandmom's house to play and maybe mooch a little dinner (no interest in cooking this weekend, sorry hun).
The girls were super excited to see the Dig Man again, and I was happy my mom was making us dinner ! We took all the dogs outside to play and potty - and just like that, my Lilly girl got hurt, Diggy was running with her, and she fell somehow, twisting her left hind leg, she let out an awful Yelp, and the hobbling began. Diggy didn't mean to hurt his girlfriend, he often forgets how little these peanuts are and how big he is....but Ms. Lilly is def. not herself at all.... Lilly is my free spirit little romper, constantly jumping around and into something...not soo much after yesterday. She has layed on me for an entire day....and has no desire to walk anywhere. We both thought that maybe she just sprained or bruised her leg, I hope, thats why its sore and she won't put weight on it, so I'm giving it a day - today is that day - and she now has a dr. appt. tomorrow....she is not worse, but def. not better. I pray it's nothing major....

Needless to say - the girls have not been able to enjoy this snowy day - Lulu trys to but Lilly wants no parts, she is gimping along and it's heart wrenching to see but there has been lots of napping going on today - Daddy is loving it ! I just want my old Lilly back !!

Update with prognosis to come tomorrow.....Stay Warm !!

My babies...

A littel explanation on yesterdays post - I do miss Bella, everyday, but I am also soo greatful to have the girls....All of which is quite a story and reminds me of how meant to be it is that they are with us. Enter in Ms. Susan Heiser aka My Pug Momma Doppelganger. Susan and I met thru the Penny Power (imagine that) She posted an add for Pug Pups, and I had literally just lost Bella and was completly devastated; of course I called, and left a heart wrenching message about how I must have one of these puppies...if not two ! She called me back, and we had a loooonnnggg conversation about not only the pups, but pugs in general. Susan (like most pug owners) is a finatic about her babies; Ms. T'ai Tai Lovena and Mr. Ming Zh'u Fritz. She got her boy, Mingy as a pup and he is king of the castle, she has been hooked since. Adding T'ai Tai two years later and then deciding to have babies from her babies. (pic to the right is Momma T'ai Tai w/all babies)

After the first converation with Susan, I was hooked and needed one of her girlies (T'ai ended up birthing 7 female all fawn pups) Telling Jeff about this only about a week or two after tragedy had struck our home; he was not as convinced about it, and suggested we wait, that we needed time to cope - he was right (which I hate to admit) I explained that to Susan and she was very understanding.
(Family pic. Daddy Ming sitting up towards back, Mommy T'ai laying down w/pups Lulu is looking at the camera)

Over a month had past and guess what - Susan (that pushy broad) called me .... and said I have ONE left and you are meant to have her !! I was over the moon, this was soo right... Jeff agreed. We were ready - so we went to meet Susan and this pup she called "Agitha" - Aggie was adorable, but was very shy, she wanted nothing to do with Jeff or I at all....just didn't feel right. We left, with no puppy ! Susan knew the connection wasn't there with us and Aggie. A week passed, and I often thought about little Aggie, I emailed w/Susan asking if she found her a good home, and sure enough she did. Susan was originally going to keep one pup - and this one pup she had intended to keep was born w/pnumonia, and she nursed her back to health, she was very attached to her although the pup was completely healthy now.....Susan (the angel she is) offered for us to come meet this little girl that she called Lulabelle.....and we did, both of us fell instantly in love with her....she was ours from the minute we layed eyes on her. Jeff and I brought her home and she fit right in, seamlessly!

So Susan gave us her last puppy.... I love her for that; and just when u think the story is over....IT GETS BETTER; 3 weeks later I get another email from Susan, saying that a little girlie she called Tallulah (now Lilly Lulah) was brought back to Susan and she always remembered me saying in the very beginning how I always wanted two pugs.....she again, made my wish come true, and within a week I was picking up our Lilly.

Jeff and I are head over heels for these little girls

They are our children, and we spoil them rotten

Susan - I can never Thank you enough!

To Grandma's house we go....

Everyone seemed to hear my prayers and I got that sleep-in-day I was in desperate need of - yeah ! With not much going on for Saturday - I ended up cleaning the house - doing laundry and running to the store - fun wife stuff ! Jeff and I had a dinner to attend on Sat. night and Lulu was still not, in my opinion 100% - of course in steps Grandmom Myers....who I've managed to turn into a Pug freak - much like myself ! After telling my mom that we were going out for the night and the girls were going to be home alone for a couple hours - I immediatly got "OH NO THEY ARE NOT" ... Bring them here! And so I did; my mom is not only now a pug freak but she has always been an animal lover, esp. dogs (probably where I get it from) Don't think she ever thought her grandkids were going to be snorty and furry, but only my mom would LOVE every second of that; and boy does she know how to spoil her grandkids ! My mom now has a lab/dane mix - Mr. Digger Dog - Dig was once ours - we got Diggy as a puppy (because Jeff seemed to think that he needed a manly dog to drive in the truck w/him - Dig throws up in any vehicle) anyway we raised him for a year, until Dig decided to eat our recliner, our sectional sofa, 1/2 of the back porch - and shred numerous blankets.....I was at my wits end with him, I loved him so, but it was not working out - and my mom had recently lost her beloved Polar Bear suddenly (very similar to Bella's passing) Diggy was adopted by Grandmom for good, and did he ever make out - going from a good home with us to the friggin Taj Mahal with my mom. Dig has turned out to be a great dog - but ultimately needed one on one attention, it really was a great match for my mom and for Digger. Best present I've ever given her !!
Digger
The girls think that Diggy is a big stuffed animal and literally bite, lick, jump, hump whatever they desire to do to him for hours. Dig is the best babysitter EVER, tolerating all of it ! He also kinda thinks that he is pug sized, and trys to sit on your lap and hug you (mind u he is 80 +lbs). Dig was also raised with Bella - so he has alot of pug traits....and is just so in love with Lilly and
Lulu - couldn't be more of a perfect match if I tried !
The girls loved there visit, so did Dig although grandma was a little tired....5am wake up call ... I was lucky enough to get a second day of sleeping in...woo hoo .... and on Sunday we got this for most of the day.

Love that !!

TGIF !

Another week down....! This was a long week for me, work has been crazy busy and it just feels like the days never ended. My one baby girl was sicky this week which caused added stress to my entire Wednesday .... Lulabelle had a bad belly and was up every hour on the hour all night long, and then threw up - not good....I worry EXTREMELY when that happens; having lost my beloved Bella all too quickly and not knowing why, I question everything now.... So - Jeff was on Lulu watch all day long Wed. she was just not herself.....when I got home all she wanted was to be on her mom and I couldn't do anything but hold her. Lilly was jealous and not very understanding to the fact that her sister was sick, sneaking in a bite to her tail or foot therefore, Jeff was then assigned to Lilly duty so Lulu could relax with me....Daddy jacketed her up and off to work outside and in the basement they went.

Lulu napped with me by the fire as I rubbed her belly and teedle weedled her head....sometimes I wish they could talk and tell me what hurts or whats wrong.

I called the vet, gave her the prognosis....and asked for any home remedies...they said 1/2 tsp. of pepto might do the trick, so we tried it, and within an hour she was back to normal - ate her dinner.....and went right back to romping with sissy -like nothing was wrong. All in all I got no sleep on Tuesday night and have never recovered, I'm soo looking forward to getting in my bed tonite and sleeping in tomorrow with my lovies (Jeff included :o)......lets hope they feel the same way too ! Happy Weekend !!
